I have just won this plate on ebay for my Motorsport Cab,i have won it at Ԛ£460 that includes everything as it states in the advert that the fees have been paid.

CHERISHED NUMBER PLATE

((((((((((((..H750 BMW..))))))))))))

THIS PLATE IS ON RETENTION & READY TO GO!! ALSO THE ASSIGNMENT FEE HAS BEEN PAID!! ....so all the hard works been done, just drive away, this is being sold with no reserve....& as you may or may not know you cant find a plate with BMW ..on it for less than 1000GBP...

regtransfers are quite clever in how they work, they dont actually have the plates they advertise. once someone has ordered the plate from them they then go and buy it from DVLA etc. this way they mark them up and dont make a loss on any.

Simple, he will have a document like a logbook for a car, new style! but its just got the reg details, you will need to change that into your name....then you go into your local dvla office with your tax, mot and V5(logbook) they give you a new tax disc there and then and stamp a different reg on your mot. they take your V5 to change it. Go in a different car or take plates with you!

take it all, for the mot either(I think) because if you have an MOT it will look like this when they finish! I think its best to have an MOT

Its stamped "Vehicle Re-registered"

No, you'd need a G-plate or older to go on a car 1st registered on 1/10/1990.

If you have tax, they give you a new one same amount of time. With the new reg on! If you have an MOT they do the above, Stamp it with the new reg, They will take the old logbook off you and send a new one in the post!

Zayyan you nearly did my heart stopped for a minute,my head was telling me it cant be but my eyes where telling me    .

I phoned the guy this morning and he wants to file for a transaction not complete with ebay due to incorrect info so that he does not have to pay ebay fees.

The plate is still mine,he gave me the number of the owner of the plate.
I have just had a chat with the guy and he seems okay he is a car dealer and the plate has come from a car that he had for sale.

I have to send him Ԛ£480 via cheque Ԛ£25 of thats to go to register the plate in my name.He will then send it to the dvla they then send it to me to sign and then its back to him to sign and then back to me.
He said it will take a couple of weeks.
He also said it would be easier to re reg my car and get the plate that they issue first then transfer if that makes sence.
That also means that i would have to get 2 sets of plates made up instead of 1 which is a waste i think.
Is there a chance that i am being set up here :?

Cheers

NOT WANTING TO GO THROUGH EBAY

And why reg your car just to reg it again??? Dont make sence, cancel that cheque.....There aint nowt I dont know about this. Ive had 7 P/P and Ive still got Three left! Ive done all sorts, putting them on taking them off, swapping between cars, putting on retention....that was a shock Ԛ£ 185 but the lady said no fees when I come to put it back on!

SCAM SCAM SCAM

Im not going to let a zoner get stung!
DVLA every time, they deal with the whole affair! If they aint got what you want , go to there auctions! Theres ones all the time

Steve the guy who had it on ebay had a very good feedback score but i suppose he is out of the picture now with the sale been canceled.
What would be the best and safest way to deal with the seller of the plate now as nobody likes to be taken for a mug.I know the reg is genuine as it is for sale on some reg web site and he has said he wanted Ԛ£800 but is happy with Ԛ£460 as he has already made his money on selling the car that the reg was on.
So do i take a gamble or call it a do.

Easy answer....Ring the DVLA in the morning and ask all about the reg. Who owns it, is it on retention, what car it came off. Tell them what you have said to me! Dont take any sh!t, you know who owns it so thats not a problem with them, tell them somebody is selling the reg to you! Then have a re-think! I still think you can get a better plate from DVLA.....cheaper winkeye

Its up to you now Rhino
