Guys,

This morning took the 325i sport (m20 engine) for a drive and just 2 mins into the drive the car lost acceleration. Pushed it back to the driveway.

Symptons

Car starts fine, but rough idle and no acceleration when you press the acceleration. Cable is fine.

I have checked the basics oil, coolant, petrol.

What could be the issue?

All help appreciated

Thanks

Check that the large convoluted hose between the air meter and the throttle body hasn't split.

Thanks, just checked the pipe and that's ok. Could it be the distributor cap ??

Anyone else come across this situation

Guys,

Anyone have pacerpete's contact details as I am based local to him. I have tried to PM him and have had no reply.

Hoping he could have a look at the issue.

Thanks
