How does Motronic 1.3 deal with this in a standard system?

Presumably it can only look at how quickly the flap in the AFM is opening?

AFM has a 0-5v range and as far as I know is how moronic sees what is what, this is on the M20 by the way, not sure about other models tbh.
I know the M3 had the same as I was chatting to a M3 turbo owner today and he used a cavalier one for his 0-5v signal.

Just wanted to know so I could have a think about how I can "tune" the output of my MAF conversion. I can let the ECU take care of most of it to start with it seems, but to really get the gains I suppose I should do some trickery. for example monitor input like the ecu, then when acceleration is detected add x percentage to the output air signal, or something like that... just thinking out loud really

Alex is spot on, it looks at flat angle vs time to gauge accel enrichment.
with the MAF this could be an issue as the response time from those is far quicker( hence the upgrade ) and could possibly lead to flooding, however if Hoshy get the signal outputs 99% with the propsed PIC then there'll be no worries
TBH, I am not running any on the Turbo, its running perfecto AFR on accel and decel without any trims, I'll add a tiny bit once I'm 100% with the look up tables ( map)as they can help where the map is between load/speed sites , and give better all round feel.

Big worry atm is resolution. currently 8 bit. divide that in to the 5volts gives 0.02v resolution... Have to seen if this is enough!!

so, back on track... 14.7 is stoich.. it's about 12.1 ideal under load ???

the lean cruise will be implemented later. to be honest accel enrich will be a phase two mod also.
phase one is looking like simple 1 - 1 mapping with a "tune" mode to tweak the map on the fly.
nothing fancy, just gettin the job done to being with.
