318is air intake boot collapsing

I replaced the air boot and vaccum pipe going to icv now when I start up the air boot collapses in.even on tick over any help much appreciated[/b]

I had this once, I had the pipes for breather and icv plumbed in wrongly. Might be worth checking this all correct.

Genuine BMW boot? I've seen aftermarket vacuum hoses sucked flat before.
What state is the air filer in, and is the inlet duct clear? I started up a four pot E30 that hadn't been used for a while a few weeks ago, and found that the whole of the space beneath the air filter and the inlet pipe had been absolutely rammed full of leaves and straw by an industrious mouse.

Got it sorted the airflo meter was stuck solid I replaced with another one and away she went ! Thanks for the help guys
