What's the best option for the exhaust without spending thousands?

The car was originally an m42, if I have the original m42 system modified so it bolts up to the m52 manifolds will this be restrictive and detrimental to performance?

on mine I am buying the fabricated exhaust manifolds from Dan on the forum, then you can connect to a used m20 2.5 e30 exhaust system from the manifolds back.

ive just managed to pick up a nearly new scorpion stainless version. :)

I will be getting the standard m52 manifolds altered to match whichever system I decide to use, so I'm not too worried about the manifolds.

Do you think a standard m20 2.5 system would be better than the m42 one?

I would think the M42 system will be a little restrictive for an M52. Out of the two choices, it would have to be the 2.5 M20 system.

I've ordered a Fritz full system as I've been advised it's the best bang for buck. Not thousands but still quite pricey.

Yes, the Fritz/Predator system is very good.

I'll get hold of a 2.5 m20 system then, would love a fritz system but I can't justify the extra cost.

Cheers for the help!

I can supply modified manifolds and custom front pipes to bolt straight up to a 325i system
