HI Guys

some advice needed, car is a 84 323i chromie. I have a 55Liter fuel tank fitted and a 55liter guage in the cluster.

I know the capacity of the tank as I went from empty to full and confirmed the amount that went in.

The problem is this , I swapped out what I thought was a faulty sender unit for a brand new VDO unit .

both units when empty are 65 ohms, however when full I am getting 4ohm on the one unit and 6ohm on the other. Also the fuel gauge never goes up to full, it goes to 3/4 .

when I bridge the wires it jumps to full , this tells me the wiring is correct.

What else can I do to get a more accurate reading .
