Could any of you knowledgeable folk help me with this one. In trying to find out how to remove the front bumper from my car to repair some minor damage, I've done research trying to work out if my 325i is a facelift or pre-facelift. Various sources say that if an e30 is 1988 or later, it should be a facelift. But when I compare images of the two, I think my 1990 car looks like a pre-facelift. The original purchase invoice shows mine had the factory dechroming option which is why the bumpers are colour coded:

Here's my car:

Can anyone please tell me if its a facelift or not?

I've tried following the pre-facelift instructions to remove the front bumper, under the two small square caps next to the indicators is a 13mm nut each side which I've removed, but I can't pull the bumper off, and I reckon I must be missing something I should have undone.

Any help much appreciated...

Hi,
Your car is pre-facelift. Also you have to remove the bolts inside the wheel arch once you remove the covers above the front wheel, there is a bolt inside, 1 at each end.

That's great, thanks. Wonder how mine managed to be built as a pre-facelift 2 years after the facelifted cars were introduced!

Cabriolets did not change to facelift until 1990.
