Lads,
I am running an M20 with 3 litre Ireland Engineering stroker kit, and unfortunately it looks like it is time for a strip-down and re-build. Fitting the kit meant doing a 1mm overbore, so I am wondering where the best place is to get an oversize head gasket for the engine. I know you can get custom CNC machined copper gaskets for around Ԛ£150, but I don't think I really need to go this far - unless I decide to fit a supercharger at some stage of course .....mmmm now there is an idea .....

Any other sources?

Cheers,
CGL

Would think that whoever does the machining will be able to supply a suitable gasket :)

No idea what the maximum normal overbore on these is, but presumably it's easy to get gaskets upto that size pretty readily?

3litres!? Blimey! :D

my boss's old engine is bored i dunno what too but he just used a normal head gasket n the overlap didnt matter he said. i thaught this was odd but he did his apprenticeship at BMW in germany and has run his own BMW specialist for like 10 years or sumthin so i dont argue when it comes to bimmers
