Im getting close to ownership of a 325i sport now :D

But theres one thing bothering me, :? as its a 2.5 6cyl can anyone tell me what sort of mpg they get when using the car dailey?

Im fully aware i sound like a boring old fart, but i would rather know the truth now.

The car in question will be a manual, but to make it more interesting i thought we could see what the difference is between Man & Auto, to see if the myth of auto's using more fuel is true.

cheers for your help :D

kos do you mean your tank was 55 litres or you reckoned you used that much? cos there are 55 and 62 (or is it 61) litre tanks, i thought all sports would have the 62.

but either way, mpg is mpg, i have heard 20-25 average.

It costs me about Ԛ£44-45 to fill up and that does 180 around town (hard)
and about 250-280 if I am sitting on the motorway with it. Hope this helps.

it used to fill up to 55 litres, it was a tech1 sport, bigger tank was an option i think, but its simmilar milage to andy325's figures

once i did a whole tank in just under 100 miles, mainly foot to floor action over weekend!!

I get 400-600 miles to 52 litres of diesel in the Astra. TD is the way to go. :)

Don't forget the US gallon is smaller than ours! a US gallon = Ԛ£1.32 in our money! why on earth do we have to pay Ԛ£4.20 a gallon here

A US gallon is 0.8327 of a UK gallon

I fill up at Ԛ£35 a time which almost fills it up, this can do between 200 and 250 miles depending on how hard/soft and the type of journeys covered.
I guess in generall thats about 25mpg!

When I filled up it cost Ԛ£46.52 at 87.9p a litre giving 52.92 litres.

When should the fuel light come on? lol!!!!!

This thread is not very encouraging

I'm used to seeing around 600 miles to a (62-litre) tank when being pretty careful so wouldn't be able to get used to only managing about half that distance :?
