My mig packed in so as I was poking round to warrant if I was going to get a new one or pay someone else todo it, I've found even more rot than there already was so now I've decided to pay someone else as the areas I've now found are beyond my skills so I'm throwing the towel in

If anyone can weld it up for me then I'll be eternally grateful as id prefer someone who knew e30's to do it

I've been speaking to a few local mechanics/welders about the possibility of doing it but they all want me to bring the car to them and at the moment it's not in a movable position

I know it's a long shot but worth an ask as I got nowhere asking on the zones Facebook

Thanks

My problem is I don't trust anyone else

I've done all the work to the car myself so it's hurting my pride a bit to be asking for help
I will ask local mobile welders but after I've exhausted all other options as if they mess up the car they'll just walk away and I won't now where they are

But a fellow zoner would be handy as they also appreciate the car and are less likely to bodge it

99.5% of the work (if doing it properly) is preparation, fabrication, and finishing. The actual welding is just a tiny bit of the work in the middle. You only need a MIG for that tiny bit, so no excuse for not getting stuck in.

My fab skills aren't up to scratch for this next bit
I've already done some welding on the scuttle and front jacking pad but the inner sill, a pillar and rear arches are areas that I don't feel comfortable doing

I'm happy to pay someone to do it
I'll have to buy a new mig anyway so that money can go to someone else as I won't need a mig once the cars finished

Haha good one but once this car is finally built I don't want to be messing with it again

So does anyone fancy giving me a hand? Or know someone that will? Obviously paid and I'll also supply all the bits needed (apart from the mig itself)

Have you got any pics of what needs doing and the work space that it will be done in?

I have plenty of pics in my build thread in "members e30's"

But I can send more

I'm due to get a quote tomorrow, I have seen his welding and he's ok but he uses that Shultz stuff and I don't want that to be used and I don't think he's ever worked on an e30 before
