Hi, hoping somebody can shed some light on my issue

Car details :

Bmw 318i touring 1991 5 speed manual m40b18 alpine white

I am having issues with the clutch, when the clutch is pressed down and the car is
In 1st gear, the car will start creeping forward without releasing the clutch pedal ,

I have replaced the slave cylinder, the master cylinder seems to be in working order, I have also bled the system 4-5 times to try and eliminate any chance of air in the system.

If anyone has any suggestions throw them my way please :)

If fluid is not being lost, this is the usual symptom of a failed master cylinder.

Would that also be the reason for when I go to press the clutch pedal down gently it feels as if it just falls away, like it has no resistance. Only when I push down lightly. Thanks for your feedback

Yes, fluid is leaking past the piston seal. If you push harder and quickly, the pressure forces the seal lip against the bore, making a better, but still leaking, seal.

I see, that does explain all the issues I seem to be having with the clutch, thanks again!

Will be sourcing a replacement part as soon as and I will let you know how it goes:)

Much appreciated.
