Are these a worthwhile upgrade? Anyone got them, what sort of gains can be expected when matched to a 3.0 m52

TOFTT

i reckon youd be wanting a decent set of cams, a nice s50 6 branch in there to take advantage, none of the girly OEM stuff

It really is pointless. You might as well fit an S50.

This. You would have essentially built an s50 that has worse performance than one, for about the same price as an s50 conversion

The guy already had an M52 conversion in his E30 all be it B25.

danthes building him a B30 with schrick cams to address the above.

I guess the next logical step would be TB's.

Also the M52 has a VERY noticeable weight advantage.

But then you could argue you might as well fit an s54...and so on.

It’s my understanding that these were created for the US guys without access to the ”aproper”a S50B30 or S50B32, they have the S50B30US and S52B32 which are nothing but stroker M50/52’s.
There is an airbox for this ITB kit I’ve seen pics of it, but may not be in production yet. As Dan alluded to Throttles with no airbox work well on the dyno but it stops there”¦

i do like the thought of the alloy block stroker with ITB but the non S5x are not reliable above 7000rpm and the valetrain is vastly inferior
