this is 3rd time my car has restoration because of rust, the last time is about 2-3 years ago.

today, I see my car condition and a lot of rust from front to rear and this is my every day transportation so it is sometimes just in front of my house without enter garage.

in good restoration how long you can expect free of rust before it is appear again? 5 or 10 years?

the mechanic that do cut and weld said he will spray prime to the bare metal so it will protect rust, does is it correct and enough?

and how to prevent rust?

i use 1.1 mm thick metal because find galvalum/galvanize is difficult

thank you

1) Primer is absorbant. If you spray primer on bare metal and don't paint on top, you will make rust happen faster.

2) You don't want galvanised metal when welding. Your E30 was not galvanised, so welding galvanised metal to non-galvanised metal will make a chemical reaction which is not good.

3) A good restoration should be as good as the factory paint, so it should last 10 years. However, if your mechanics did not do a good job then it can start rusting in six months. My own restoration has a few rusty spots three years after my renovation, but this is because I did the work myself in a badly-lit garage in a cold wet winter.

Where is the rust?

The rust is at the driver and passenger foot, the area near and behind speaker, right and left side below doors, behind rear wheel, behind front wheel, trunk lip

So how to protect the bare metal inside? Give prime coat and then paint coat? Or rubber flintcoat
