Hi i hope somebody can help

A couple of weeks ago my electric windows & door mirrors on my coupe stopped working. The windows now only work when the doors are open, the door mirrors don't work at all. I checked the relays in the fuse box and the ones in the glove box, i've also checked the courtesy switches they seem to be working. i would be grateful if someone could give me any advice on what else i can check.

Many thanks

Check the connections to the starter motor, especially the black/green wire (under outer sheath) to the smallest terminal.

Hi I changed the starting motor and use one from a pre face lift model without electric windows which had spade terminals so i had to change the connectors. I swicthed the connector around yesterday and the windows worked in key posistion 1 but the cat wouldn't start. it started when i swicthed them back. i guess it must be the starter, is there a way around this.

Thanks

Put the black/yellow wire back where it should be, so that the starter motor works, then change the 4mm ring terminal on the end of the black/green wire for a 8mm ring terminal and connect it to the inner 8mm stud (13mm nut), next to the one where the battery and alternator cables connect.

If he's used the wrong starter motor, as he says, he won't have a 8mm nut to tighten. If you examine the correct motor solenoid, you will see that the 4mm stud with the 8mm nut is connected directly to the inner 10mm stud by a strip of tinned brass.
