I replaced the under bonnet fuel hoses a couple of years ago with what I believe to be fuel graded rubber but it only states L671, checking them yesterday I noticed they are cracked and need replacing already.
I'm pretty sure BMW will not sell their hose by the metre so I'm looking for an alternative that I can get more than 2 years out of it without worrying.
Has anyone found a company selling the same version of BMW fuel hoses or would it be worth upgrading to either R9 or BIO fuel hoses which I understand are now being fitted to most new cars?

I bought my genuine bmw hose from an eBay seller who listed it as mini hose. Worth a look, since the same pipe (8x13) has been used on BMWs for years.

If the hose does not have "suitable for unleaded fuel" printed on it then it is not intended for use with a pressurised fuel system and it will leak, your lucky its lasted 2 years, id guess you dont use the car much

I've found the same thing with non genuine hose - 20 year life for the originals; 5 years for aftermarket, if you're lucky.
Fired up one of my E30s on Sunday for the first time for eight months, and fuel was spurting our from the hoses either side of the fuel filter. Sure enough, the failed hoses were aftermarket, along with all four hose clips having different sized heads (5mm, 5.5mm, 6mm and 1/4")

Just go to the dealers and buy their fuel hose and new clips.. it's not that expensive..and it's cheaper than putting fires out
using aftermarket stuff is just too risky I used some "quality" hose once that blew up like a balloon.. luckily i spotted it before it burst

There is more to hose than just rubber tube, just because it has 'fuel' on it does not mean it can be used with petrol or a pressurised system

After a bit of research I've found that the original hose supplier to BMW is a company called Cohline. They have a UK distribution centre and sell to several retailers including Advanced Fluid Solutions.
AFS stock R9 fuel injection pipe but also an upgraded BIO hose that won't breakdown with the Ethanol in today's unleaded fuel.
It's about £13.50 per metre which will work out a lot cheaper than what the dealer has quoted.
