Got myself a 318i auto and it's lovely to drive, but every time I get in I think, wouldn't this be fabulous as a m44 turbo?
I've seen a thread stating all the bits I need to throw it in the front and get it running. There's quite a lot I decided. Rocker, sump, blah blah. whilst I'm in there is it worth treating it to an e36 rack?
My real question though is regarding a manual conversion.
Pedal box,
Master cylinder
Clutch
Gearbox (obviously)
Release bearing.
Is there anything else? Or a thread on this I missed? Simple task? Or is it donor car stuff if you haven't converted one before?
Auto manual swap.

Type "auto to manual" in the Wiki, and you'll find all the info you need.

Having done this recently, best possible advise I would give is to remove the front seats, this will make the whole arduous task of fitting the pedals and brake rod thing much much easier.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...
