hi guys i want to convert my e30m50NV to have knock control. My question is, are NV engine looms wired for the knock sensors or will i need to change looms?
i am under the impression that only vanos engines had knock control.
also will i need to change the whole ecu or would i simply need to swap the EPROM chip from a suitable car?
i want to do this in order that i can get the most out of a remap in terms of spark advance. Ideally i'd like to run dual maps (one for normal fuel and one for high octane) with a sport button or something to switch between them.
