So jus did my swap
It started
:D
Car was 4pot 318is ( rpm gauge was rev happy on start up)
This wasn't my problem as I sourced 6pot 325 clock with correct plug in !
I replaced all cluster bulbs carefully one at a time avoiding any mix up , so they were nice and fresh

This is where my problem has started:
When the 4pot clocks were in place they read 1/2 tank of fuel
Plugged in 6 pot ( fresh ) clocks and they read jus a fraction under full tank of fuel !
8O which has me confused to say the least .
Any ideas ?

The fuel tank is a different size between 4 pot and 6 pot and the fuel gauge is specific for each size.
If you've installed the 6 pot cluster to get the rev counter reading right, you didn't need to. You only needed to change the white coding plug.

Refit the original 4 pot cluster but change the coding plug for the one from the 6 pot cluster - rev counter will be happy and fuel gauge will read right :)
