Original colour of rear silencer

Bit of an odd question but I just wanted to know,when my cab was brand new would the rear silencer been painted silver or black.

Depends what model you have! 323i among others made by Boysen. My eta double pipe made by Eberspacher i mounted new. It was silver originally. Sanded and painted it same colour to keep rust at bay a little longer

Yes Erberspacher are an OEM supplier now but when these cars where new, Boysen was the supplier.
