Oil Cooler

Right - oil coolers.

Had a bit of a surf to see what's been posted before. Options seem to be either sourcing an S50 filter housing, or using an M50 TU filter housing with a sandwich plate setup.

Seems some folk have said the power steering pump/pulley need changing because the mounting is different? Is this really the case? Or can I just swap the oil filter housings, keeping everything else and be on my way?

Oh - I know about needing a banjo bolt adapter or to re-tap the fitting for the VANOS oil feed

I'm using the S50 filter housing on my M50 and it really is just a straight swap,
Not sure about the power steering pump, as I'm using a manual rack

But i'm 99.9999% sure when I had the M50 and the S50 side by side,
everything was exactly the same, bar the 2 feed/return ports.

I'm thinking about putting the S50/M50 housing on the M52 - which is a slightly different design/shape - I think you're referring to putting the S50 housing on an M50?

Mines the M50 turbo btw not the V8

The M52 PAS pump is a different mount, alternator is the same I think

As Dan says the M52 PAS pump is different fitment - it does fit but you have to space it out by about 10-15mm forwards - this is obvious when you are looking at it. I just fitted an M3 PAS pump at the same time instead, direct fit. Alternator goes straight on
