Hello

I've fitted a Z3 steering rack on my E30.

http://www.carsteering.com/data/all_ima ... 00-Map.jpg
as you see on this picture, the Z3 rack has external thread on the inner tie rods.

The tie rods of my E30 has internal thread.

So, to make this fit , the question is:

Can I use E36 Tie rods on a Z3 steering rack on my E30, or won't it fit?

Thank you

You can use rods and rod ends from either, as long as they are a matching set.

with matching you mean that the right and left ones are the same I suggest? Okay clear, so it'll be e36 tie rods then. Thanks

Matching - E30 rod and rod ends or E36 rod and rod ends. You can't mix E30 and E36 parts. And yes, if you use E36 ones on one side, you should use E36 on the other side.
