What's the best way to get rid of this guys?

I've removed the foam.. just left with the layer stuck to the bonnet.. Anyone got any special formulas?

Also in terms of fitting a new one, Is it best to remove the bonnet to line up the adhesive correctly. Seems tricky getting it all lined up while leaning over the engine.

Bit embarrassed here.... but normally the local body shop do it as part of a re-paint job

I think they use thinners but can't be sure

I did one once with a rotary very very soft wire brush on slow speed, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Yep it was me that discoverer how good Toyota brake cleaners is at removing the glue residue.

Turns it to mush that just wipes off.

I think any solvent based brake cleaner should do the job though.
