My drivers seat (RHD) is wearing on the bolster. The others are fine. Can I replace it with a left hand seat? Any issues highlighted or advice given greatly appreciated, thanks
Moredoor autos with small engines are cool - but my new m20b25 is awesome!

I have two passenger side front seat fitted, I have no problem with it and still can work the levers. The front lever will hit the center console when the seat is slid forward but that does no happen very often

Best to replace the worn bolster fabric on the drivers seat from a spare passenger seat

Several of my E30s have two passenger seats, and most of the rest have had the passenger and driver's seats swapped over to equalise wear.
It's a five minute job to swap the tilt/height levers over with the original driver's seat one.
As long as we're talking about seats for E30's with a sensible amount of doors, the only difference between a genuine driver's seat and a passenger one that has been converted, will be the position of the fore/aft lever, which is arguably better in it's new position.

Er, the one I've seen for sale is from a 2 door and mine is a 4 door. What are the issues?
Thanks

It will have a lever on the side of the backrest to tilt the seat. Even the four door seats have the tilt mechanism, but the lever and cable to operate it aren't fitted.Jona1971 wrote:Er, the one I've seen for sale is from a 2 door and mine is a 4 door. What are the issues?

Great.
Last question is the colour:
1. my build sheet says Upholstery 0251
2. the original brochure looks like 0145 Anthrazit
3. the seat for sale quotes - S0215
here's the link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171702316309? ... EBIDX%3AIT
any ideas?
Thanks.
