hi im new here i have just purchased an E30 sedan 320i (i know its slow now but not for long).

Anyway i hafto replace the rear muffler and i was just wondering what aftermarket exhausts you guys have got on your cars and are most happy with?

I know i can fit a 325i muffler after '87 which is much larger but am having trouble finding one.

Any Remus stuff I've seen has been very good, but I'm talking from a Vauxhall (Holden to you) side of things - no doubt someone will let you know what Remus stuff for BMWs is like.
Once driven, forever smitten.
Direct injection, turboed, intercooled, 16 valves giving a whopping 48.5hp/litre!! :(

What do you want from it? Different brands can be good in different ways...

My supersprint's exceptionally well made, not loud & they have a good reputation for making power... They're certainly not cheap though :?

A standard 325i exhaust is actually a very good design, that's why a lot of the aftermarket ones won't make you any power. Would also look less obvious if that's what you fancy...

Original BMW - $800 AU
Australian aftermarket shit- $300 (they rust out in less that 12 months)

and i cant find a second hand one so ive decided to part with a bit of cash :( mind tellin me how u paid for yours? just the muffler i dont need a whole system yet

Got to be worth a post in the shop section of the forum - postage might well be possible (in fact I know he'll arrange it, just depends on the cost) :thumb:

Not sure how it'd fit to your front section... :?

I have a 320i cab (1991) which I love to bits. I know it's not the quickest but hey, you get see when you drive slower winkeye

I love drifting, esp in the icy weather right now too!!

Anyways, just reading your posts about a 325i zaust fitting the 320i, would that be the case for me too?

Any benefits apart from not having such a girly tail pipe???

yes 325i after september 87 with cat fits to late 320i and is a lot larger. the standard black tips i think look much better than any aftermarket ones i have seen but thats just my taste.
if u find one easily send it to me then find another one for yourself thanks ahah

i called every single bmw wrecker in my city today and the only luck i had was when the guy said he did have one then said wait a minute and i could hear some guy in the background sayn nah im keepin that one! n he said no sorry thats gone ... bloody arseholes ...

me and my friends wait for it to rain so we can go drifting ... because we all have low powered cars n shitty jobs. but not once the 2.7 ltr and man trans go in winkeye ill finally be able to cook the tyres in the dry

I'm a secret drifter, my missus hates it. Honed my skill on a rally course last march (not in me bimmer!!).

There's this one corner on my way to work, slightly damp or icey, apply the correct weight shift and roberts your mothers brother!!!

Ditto about low paid job. Couldn't afford regular boots for my car

My cab is a non cat example, still applicable?

no the non cat is different. it is only a single pipe i beleive as apposed to the twin pipes. There are still plenty of options tho ...

haha dont tell the missus then! i honed my skills in a 504 a customer gave to me ... decent little drifter when u get goin fast enough before the corner. Then a truck ran into it :( when it was parked right outside my damn house
