Ask if they do "acrylic power coat laquer"Sambe30 wrote:Thanks gert, going to get them powder coated silver with diamond cut lips, should look good!
You can get that done over the powder coated wheel with the diamond lip, and you won't have to keep polishing the lip, which is a ball ache
Just had a set of bbs done myself this week and they look fantastic

Assuming you've got E30 spec 15" BBS "basketweaves", then you're looking at the wrong stuff completely.Sambe30 wrote:http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 1296639748

If you want to have BBS badges, instead of the BMW ones, then all you need are sticker-type badges, NOT caps, so you take off the BMW badges and super-glue or whatever the BBS ones.
Something like this (ignore the size):

I'm not 100% sure on size, but if you have the caps, just measure the BMW badge yourselfSambe30 wrote:Oh I see, thanks for the heads up, so I just need 70mm ones of those?

It's easy to change , push thumb in and pop out the center, mesure, peel off the Bmw badge , new badges have sticky backs you just stick them onzd3bx wrote:I'm not 100% sure on size, but if you have the caps, just measure the BMW badge yourselfSambe30 wrote:Oh I see, thanks for the heads up, so I just need 70mm ones of those?

Got my 15" BBS RZ's packed awaiting the free courier pickup tomorrow to go for refurb at Lepsons.
Been advised by guys on here to go for straight silver with no diamond cut, which is what I'm doing. Also sending centre caps with them.
Bought 4 new BMW badges from dealers £5 each incl VAT, they are superior to eBay as the BMW lettering is raised.
The lugs on the rear of the hex caps are worn, so have bought 4 new "repair cap kits" from USA. This is new hex cap with steel spring & black plastic ring this engages with. This will give me 4 spare caps. Ordered hex wrench from dealers £17 coming tomorrow.
Also getting new rubber fitted at Lepsons, Continental prem con 2, 205x55xR15.
I'm told they'll be back in a week. Looking forward to seeing the results.

Sounds good ! What process do lepsons do ? Paint or powder ?
Ive got a polished lip on my other set it looks good but a ball ache to keep nice if not laqured, on the set ive just had done i just went for plain silver too, can't best nice new wheels on a car
But try not to use the hex wrench on the caps, you don't really need to just turn by hand and avoid scratching them

Yes that's the one.
Knocked me $10 off as I was buying four, also valued the package at $60 so I didn't pay any tax on goods, packed & sent last Monday, delivered on Friday from California!
He showed stock of two when I was looking, so emailed him & said he had more stock, don't know wether that's still the case.
Good bloke would use again.

Didn't need the wrench on the worn caps, but new ones are tight, need to be so they don't fall off. But thanks for the tip, I'll take care.

It doesn't look as though the guy in USA is still trading those items.
The whole centre cap is still available from your local BM dealer, a little pricy though, but available.
