Fast road/ track e30

Any advice from you guys that have already built one as to the best components to build an e30 that is not an out and out track toy but a mix of road and track?

1) Don't use a floor-mounted pedal box if you expect to spend lots of time in traffic.
2) If you are intent on using fixed buckets, keep a cushion in the car for longer journeys, unless you have some weird numb arse/pins and needles fetish.
3) If you like to keep cool in summer, don't remove the bulkhead insulation or the under-carpet insulation in the driver's footwell.
4) Keeping electric windows is a godsend. Central locking likewise.
