Hi I have messaged danthe waiting on his expertise but hoping someone else has had this problem

I put a new engine in at Xmas as the other give up the ghost had it running and everything's been fine but I haven't had it on the road as of yet. I've come down last night to do a few bits ready for the mot and the battery's gone flat and wouldn't jump so charged over night, it just won't fire up I'm pretty sure its the ews as mine was a earlier one it still has it. There no power at the relays or fuse.
It doest run the fuel pump and running power to the pump it still won't start (but the pump does go) as it's not opening the fuel rail. Does this sound about right? Oh I'm sure you once said the ews box should click which it doesn't either.
Any help would be great

Many thanks dan

Was the key left in the ignition when the battery went flat by any chance?

That will be your problem. Get the ews deleted. Will save you a lot or arse ache and to be honest it's not that expensive to get it done.

Basically if you keep the key near the chip reader and battery goes flat it drains the key. Happened to me so I had to get the ews deleted and everything was fine again.

The key chip is charged up as it sits inside the antennae ring

The usual case is the key chip looses the rolling code

I was lucky then... mine spent 1 month unused with a dying battery and the following month with no battery connected while the key was still taped in the antenna loop. It started first turn when I fitted a new battery.
