hello,
today my e30 m40 engine is not starting, it has spark
I have
replaced ecu/dme
replaced fuelpump relay
replaced fuse 11
check the spark plug number 3 and it has spark so cps is fine? or should I check all spark plugs?
can I assume that my fuelpump faulty exactly? and just buy new one? or ... may be fuel filter block?
thank you
markus

Cheap fuel pressure gauge is a useful investment. Just a 4 - 5 bar gauge, a tee piece, a couple of 8mm barbed hose connectors, and a few inches of rubber fuel hose.

just comeback from fixing my car this is the story
install fuel filter and engine running well until 15 minutes and then die. check filter again and no fuel coming when i start the engine.
take out the fuelpump again and tes directly to the batterai, it die.
I'm thinking of changing my pump with e36 pump to save the money because I have 2 unit here.
is it possible? what is pro and cons?
and there is on e30 fuelpump 2 wires black and brown
and on e36 fuelpump 2 wires light brown and dark brown
which one is plus and minus? I afraid if wrong to connect it.
thank you

Something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fuel-Pressure ... 27f84931b4 . I'm sure you can source bits like this locally.
It's only for testing purposes as a temporary installation, and is connected by removing the fuel supply hose (the one from the filter) where it connects under the inlet manifold, connecting this hose to the gauge tee piece, then fit a short piece of similar hose from the other branch of the tee to where you disconnected the first hose from.

today just replaced my e30 fuel pump with e36 fuel pump, it is very easy to install and the size is nearly same.
I have tried today running car and it is OK
