On the cam sprockets where should I put the bolts.
Because there's an adjustable part about 5MM on each side of the bolt if it's in the middle .
I put it in the middle of the sprockets and seems to have abit of a slight delay on the throttle.
Would this be the problem ?

Loosen the bolts again. Lock both cams in place or at least set them to be exactly right. Set TDC by locking the crank though the hole with an 8 or 9mm drill. Then retighten the bolts.

Ok .
So inlet valve open exhaust valve shut.
Should I set the inlet to just as it's about to lift the valve or during.as in the valve lifted high as I can.
Where do I lock the crank?

No, set the cams with the proper locking tool. Lock the crank via the hole in the back of the block.

I believe there is a procedure involving the alarm remote. The alarm obviously needs to work......

So today I got all confused my cams are like this
Well was today I just made sure cylinder 1 was at TDC
Then tried to set the cams.
Funny thing was it was from a picture which never helps
(The previous owner gave me for some reason..)

Then I read here that there's something of a TDC under the starter?
So I tried to find it and this was me confused

So now I'm stuck and confused.
So can someone help me do this thing
Where's the TDC 'hole' Iv read about
And as you say a straight edge yes will a plastic one do.
Straight across the top yes.
Im planning on doing this tomorrow
Also what way the cam marks gotta face? Each other?

There are two strengthening webs on the block, underneath the starter motor, close to the join to the sump and to the join to the gearbox. Between these webs there should be a plastic plug blocking the hole you are looking for to fit the crank locking pin.
Steel rule would be the ideal straight edge, but anything straight will do. Lie it across the tops of the square sections on the cams.

Is there any other way the TDC is marked.
Because that plugs welded in there.

Anyone know how to clean the rocker cover/inlet manifold?
Usually I would take it to the steam cleaners but this cars immobile.
