Would the front screen from an M3 convertible fit my touring? I have a feeling they're different but can't remember how. Also, being from a convertible it has the pad for the mirror, can this be easily removed without leaving a mark? Cheers.

No, M3 screens are bonded to the screen frame, and are therefore slightly bigger than the type that are fitted with a rubber. and I don't think there is enough frame work exposed the bond the screen on the touring.

The M3 screen is supposed to be bonded in like all modern screens, and would have to be bonded into your car. Luckily the aperture for the screen is the same m3 or not. so it can be done.

Dont know about the mirror mount never removed one. Its glued/bonded on, i would have thought sharp scrapers and paint thinners would be the way to attack it.

All cabrio screens are fitted with the locking strip including M3's.

Only M3 2drs are bonded.

Also, the apature is not the same on an M3 as a normal shell. The lip at the scuttle is bigger.

The cabby glass needs extra damping to stop it cracking from the scuttle shake :D

It actually caught us out at work as I assumed the apature was the same but the scuttle is different and the M3 specific one is on world wide back order. We used a standard scuttle and had the extra bit welded on.

I wasn't aware cabrio M3 was not bonded, I have seen a few lesser models fitted with M3 screens though.

Does that mean I can sell normal cabrio screens as M3 ones, M tax FTW :D
