Hi
I'm looking for some advice on selling my 1990 320i auto convertible - any help on price guides would be appreciated.

It's been SORN'd for the last 6/7 years and stored in my father in laws barn. Very clean throughout. I'm About to get it serviced and MOT'd next week. It started first time after fitting new battery no smoke just purrs through the scorpion rear box. Genuine 75,690 miles, unmolested no boy racer treatment (apart from the exhaust as has been pointed out thanks guys) personally I don't like it and need to source an OEM part - any ideas?

I bought the car in 2003 and have never had a problem with it.

Anyone interested in it let me know, just looking for fair price.

Car located near Bristol.
Any questions let me know

Have photos but need to figure out how to post them!!!! Yeah did it!!

"unmolested no boy racer treatment" + "scorpion rear box" = oxymoron. :)

Instructions for uploading pics. are stickied at the top of both "for sale" forums.

I would suggest that you change the cambelt before running the engine again, these have a service life of 30k miles or 3 years.
If the belt were to snap or slip, your cylinder head will be badly damaged.

Value is almost impossible to give,as always, photo's will help a lot.You will find a guide to posting photo's sticky'd at the head of 'Member's E30's',I think.
But worst case is a few hundred pounds upto £2/3k for a nice, low owner count, low miles cabbie in rust free condition. The condition of places like the rear arches, cills(rear of the door opening under the trim strip!)scuttle corners, lower edges of the front wings is important to value correctly.
Youth is wasted on the young.

Pictures please!

What's the history file like? Any niggles? Every little thing working? What's the hood like? Any leaks? Oil /ATF/ steering rack?

Service it, change the cambelt, MOT it and then detail the bejeezus out of it. If it's been in storage it could probably do with a good clay and a mop.

If you want an easy sale stick it in a classic auction, good original low mileage cars are fetching good money at the Anglia Car Auctions right now.

If its as original and straights as you advise i would invest some time to get a good set of photos up, in particular remove the from seats and removed the carpet (its about an hours work) and take some photos of the floor etc.

Best of luck.

Just seen the pics, that car looks straight as a die.

If I didn't already own one I'd be coming for a closer look at that car.

Leather or cloth interior? What are the carpets like?

cloth interior recaros (not sure if recaros is standard or not) a good valet wouldn't go amiss as it has been sat idle for 7 years or so, only being started every 2/3months depending on family trips to devon.

Carpet excellent, mats also really good, drivers side carpet is wearing where the plastic insert joins but still pretty damn good.

then i must have been really unlucky as mine was pretty bad..an ill fitting roof was likely the cause (esp under the rear seat on the seam).
