hello. Can't find much info on these gaskets, probably because I'm using my phone to look.
But a quick question, I want and need to change the rear tail light gaskets as I hear it's a common fault to leak. Is this part only available from BMW direct or any other companies you recommend? Thanks

£16.90 each from my local bmw. Thought that's rather expensive.

I've only ever come across one, and I suspect that the area had been damaged slightly and repaired at some time, and wasn't quite the shape it should be.Tewkes wrote:I hear it's a common fault to leak.

Ah right I thought it was a common fault I read somewhere on here?
I just wanted it to be 100% sealed as the car I bought is pretty mint. Don't want water getting in.

It is a common problem.
The gaskets are made out of some sort of sponge that rots away.
BMW charge silly money for them.

Tell me about it. I wondered if there is any other alternative other than BMW.
