Having had to pay out £1800 to have my e 30 repaired after a young lad ran into the back of it-it seems i cannot insure myself so that i am not out of pocket should this happen again as the car only being worth as far as the insurance company is concerned a few hundred pounds and i cannot seem to find any way of covering myself in the future L reg so classic insurance is out-also no garage!-your thoughts and advice please Thanks Davetee

Classic insurance can still be had on a L Plate, the bigger issue is no garage.

i did not even bother to go through my insurance as i felt it a waste of time i did inform them of this fact. It is in good nick mechanically sound and is in use most days.
But it is parked outside and when it was in the bodyshop many people enquired after it!-it seems to have become a local landmark!
Regards DaveTee
Love the picture it is like the first one an estate in Lagoon Green

So, if it doesn't have marker against it, why are you having problems insuring it? I've insured many Cat. C (with VIC) and Cat. D cars with no problem whatsoever, or even a mention of the marker.
You need to pursue your insurers and find out exactly what the problem is.
