The other day i bought some bbs rc041 17" 7.5j front and 8.5j on the rears running 235/45 tyres to go on my 1987 316, but as the stud patterns are different i will need 20mm adapters to go from 4x100 to 5x120 which will push them out a bit. my only concern is that i think the wheels will be to big running the tyres they have and will rub a lot can anyone suggest anyways of making them fit well without any major modifications?

Cheers

I cant help with rubbing issues, but your two options to physically fit the wheels are the 4x100 to 5x120 adaptors or a proper 5 stud conversion...

Welcome to the Zone! You could always rolls the arches. Some folk even do this with a rolling pin/baseball bat or similar - see YouTube for details...
