hi all, took my 325 auto in for its mot this afternoon, here's the fail list, what prices u reckon for the supply and fitting?been quoted 200.

1.near side front balljoint
2.rear pads
3.front brake imbalance(guy says may just need slides freed)
4.off side rear shock

well guys,at least no rust,i knew about balljoint and pads,so not too bad!!

for mot ur shocks r tested for an imbalance between the 2. boths shocks can be fuked but not leak fluid an still pass by have little imbalance between the 2. if u only change 1 shock u could still fail on the imbalance because of having 1 really good shock an a weak shock

Peace of piss to do the rears mate all you need is a jack and a few spanners (maybe spring compressors but depends what model you have). Takes me about 30mins each side. Definately do both mate.

Goto www.eurocarparts.co.uk for a good standard strut price if your on a budget

i agree. do shocks in pairs .both shocks can be done in an hour ,even for a beginner. shouldnt need spring compressors for the rear, 19 mm socket for the bottom and a 14mm for the top if i remember right.a morning could see you fix everything there, theres nothing to hard
