I have noticed that my car is using coolant very very fast. Every few days it will need filling up.

My car is 318is with the M42 engine.

Could it be due to not being bled properly ? I don't see coolant on the floor.

It could maybe be profile gasket, but before I look into that I want to check everything else.

Cheers In advance,
Lee

It might leak only under pressure, and drip onto the road or evaporate of a hot surface. Might be the water pump, only leaking when the engine's running. Took me about eighteen months to track this latter one down on one of mine once.
AFAIK profile gasket tends to be more of a deluge when it goes, rather than a few ccs a day.
Best tool for diagnosing this kind of problem is a coolant system pressure tester, where you can pump the system up to a bit higher pressure than it normally runs at. This normally uncovers a few leaks on systems that aren't even using coolant.
