Exhaust manifold gaskets

Is it possible to fit new exhaust manifold gaskets by just removing the manifold nuts and pulling the manifold away from the head ? Or would I need to remove the exhaust pipe ?.

Yes, it is possible but you may have to remove some of the forward exhaust hangers first
