Main bit is different gearbox ratio, e36 use around the 3.45 area.
Not sure on exact lengths between e36 and e30 iS gearboxes.
If you use the e36 gearbox the compact prop and small case diff would work
Easiest option is m42/40 clutch m40 gearbox m40 prop and 3.91/4.10 diff all easily avalible.

as i said i got all parts :) 3,91 diff already in from m10, i just couldn't get e30 m40 prop then i would be using m40 box (and e30 m42 propshaft is rare as unicorns), soo if e30 wiki isnt lying m42(e30 org 318is) and m10 prop is almost same lenght, and if e36 and e30 boxes are same size, it should fit, so i was hoping if anyone can confirm it before i check it hard way :D

I have an m42 engine with an e36 direct top ratio gearbox fitted. I loosened the nut and slid the prop up slightly to get it to work
