I've just bought a 1984 e30 318i with no history but it is in very good condition. Somwhere along the line it must have service history! How can i go about trying to obtain any history or info on my specific car? The guy i bought it off said the previous owner was due to send him the history but that never happened!
Would BMW themselves hold any info on my car from the reg or vin?
Getting history on my e30 318i 1984

A BMW dealer can give you the full spec from the chassis number.
They may also be able to provide some details of servicing but it will depend on who/when the car was actually serviced in the dealer network.

I'm in exactly the same situation, serviced at Coopers Colchester for 22 years, I emailed them a few weeks back but no response, I'll take a drive up there and see what I can get, I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks for the link j2b - nice to have the original spec sheet. I found the model lettering deletion was part of the spec, not debadged afterwards
