Maybe I'm being silly but...
I've got a button on my key.. but it does absolutely.. F all.
I took it apart and there is a battery there but no transmitter of anytime? and just a plain hole at the bottom next to where the key comes out?
so...? Have i got a dud? lol
Key has a button.. but the button doesn't do magic?

Its a light. There should be a small bulb in the hole next to the key.
Both my keys have been gutted and now house an EWS chip for my engine conversion.

This an old link showing an LED retrofit to the key, but it shows where the bulb (or LED) should be...

The lights actually very handy! I got a new one from BM, which lasted all of 2 months.. but it was useful at night when trying to find the keyhole, with my diamond schwartz metallic bodywork.
