Guys, I have a set of 15" Azev coming. They have 205/55/15 size tyres fitted, need replacing ideally. I have a nice new set of 195/55/15 tyres. Do you think they would fit and be ok?

Cheers

Depends on the width of the wheels.

They will probably fit, but the speedo will over read because they are smaller diameter. On the plus side acceleration will improve.

I'm tempted by Azev A - there's a set of 16" ones on ebay with 205/45 16s on - I guess that they'll similarly have a problem in terms of overreading on the speedo.

Which car are they destined for Jim?

Black tech1 mate

Sorry i'm confused as to why the speedo will be out

Currently have 205/55/15
Planned for 195/55/15

Does that mean they will be slightly smaller in diameter?

I thought 195/55/15 were the right tyre size for the e30

All help, most appreciated :)

I know nothing about tyres.

original spec was 205/55/15

195 is slightly smaller therefore lowers gearing etc

see here:

What I need to know is whether a set of 225/45/16 will fit on the front of my Hartge which came with 205/50/16 as standard

Toyo 888Rs only come in this size

thanks, lowered gearing is fine as it's running a 3.64 diff anyway.
