Has anyone with a factory M Tech 2 non air con had the front lower valance off of their car? I am trying to figure out if the tech 2s came with an air con metal valance or whether the valance was just painted black behind the upper intake of the M Tech 2 valance.

Did the factory M Tech 2 Sports come with the air con lower metal valance? I've got a 318 with M Tech 2 kit, the upper of the two middle openings on the M Tech 2 valance has a visible white background (painted, non air con metal valance behind it), unlike the picture below. Other than painting this portion black, the only way I can see fixing this is with an air con metal valance. Any one have pics of their sport with front valance removed?

I found a pic of the issue I have. See below.

Mines the same as your problem

I do not have air con and have the valance to match these specs
But I do need to change mine anyway so I might get an air con one to blend in

My Sport is a non air con car. The lower slot is open for the oil cooler, the valance is painted black behind the upper slot of the tech2 kit. I do have a pic somewhere if I can find it.

Was the black around the fogs and oil cooler opening there as well or was from something else?

From factory it's only a black section behind the upper grill on non A/c cars.

^^This.
The previous owner was worried the edges of the kit would rub through the red paint around the cooler grill and fogs so added some black paint to try and protect it. The black paint was removed not long after I took that pic and I added a strip of black sticky stuff to match the top.

Thanks for clarifying guys.

So it that what #10 is? It's labeled as 'foil' part number 51712239714

Much easier than having to source an air con valance...

Yep. And there are also a pair of black "foils" between the rear lights and number plate surround on most facelift cars
