Would anyone have any advice on this:

I've got a facelift 2 door with the M52 engine and am looking for some springs which will give a nice smooth ride and not be too stiff.

I've got a set of 318iS springs which are the MTech I believe.

Would they be man enough for the job? I know the M52 is heavier than the M42 but that might just lower the car a little and be ok ??

Be good to hear what people think

At the moment it's on KW Var1 coilovers which are great but just a bit too "involved" for the kind of old man cruising I like !!

Thanks

Not quite the same, but I ran an M20 on lowered 318i springs (45mm struts) for 2 years without any issues. The ride was fine, but you could tell the springs were a little too soft.

Other than it may sit a tad lower, I would think the iS springs will be fine.

The iS springs will be fine, hardly anything in it weight wise between an M42 and an M52

Fantastic thanks guys I was working out the weight difference which even with the 6 speed was only about 50kg, like having the wife in the passenger seat but without the constant ear ache.
