Its an old F1 bleeder, it basically drains and drys the brake system, then pumps in new fresh fluid. Its pretty neat as it does both sides of multi piston callipers as well as front and rear circuits at the same time, makes bleeding a joy! No messing, all dry break fittings (calliper dependant).

I doubt it, it's probably just a liquid filled guage, they help stop vibrations affecting the needle readings, Basically it's a method of damping.diable wrote:Is the air bubble in the gauge there to make sure the unit is level?

50psi may just flip the seals in the master cylinder. 20 psi should be plenty and the Gunsons one uses about 15 psi.

To bleed DSC units with the BMW diagnostic system you need 2 bar so just under 30 psi.

DSC bleeding is a pain on stock turds, try that on multi piston callipers and bias twin cylinder setups, real head ache!
