What can i say that hasn't already been said about Barry. Top bloke, very easy to deal with. He carried out all the major mechanical work on my car including fitting a power steering set up. Highly recommended if your thinking of having any work done to your car :thumb:

Brilliant guy, done a full conversion for me, and not a easy one at that, from a 316 carb to a fully M20b25 set up, engine, gearbox, diff, all drive parts, disc conversion, and all running gear. You name it and I bet Barry's done it =]

Can not fault his work in anyway, very quick turn around for the amount of work done, to a very high standard and nothing less. You can tell he takes pride in the job done. Keep informed at all times at every stage and was a pleasure to see all progress when visiting. Even being so busy, he still took the time to show me around and even teach me new things a long the way

Wouldn't have anyone else work on my car now, loads more lined up for you Barry, keep the good work, a big thanks, and a credit to you =] the cars great

Cheers Joe

I have been dealing with barry, without fault ever since i bought my first e30 a few months ago, and i probarly wouldnt use anyone else now. Hes probarly the only person you will ever need to know if you own an e30. Top straight up bloke and a great mechanic. Hes always helpful and good for any advice you need. Top man for sourcing parts aswell. 10/10. Top stuff! Cheers barry.

Just come back from Barry's - had the pads and discs replaced and the deal was much more competitive than the local boys for the e46, can't wait for Barry to get my e30 sorted in a few months. A pleasure to deal with and straight down the line bloke to do business with. Thanks mate don't forget to pop by next time you head up Kennington.

+1 for another positive experience.

Diagnosis of cars is positively clinical - a refreshing change from the cowboys I've encountered as of late.

Speak soon about booking the car back in Barry - top man :thumb:

took the e30 down to barry this time (well rather it got transported)

There was a slight delay in collecting the car Barry was very paitent and i got a load of work done which would have cost at least double at a dlr for job that would have been handed to some spotty kid just out of college.

I just can't wait to get some more dosh so barry can "refresh" the suspension.

10 out 10 from me, again

Barry bought a nice "as new" spare wheel from me today, and then kindly sold another wheel for me on the spot. Good comms with Barry, to his word.

Although I've been around here for a very long time, never previously had the pleasure of meeting Barry. He did a clutch to my m3 evo today, totally chuffed with the standard of work and care, proper old school zoner and an asset on here! most of all love how diplomatically he pointed out that I was a tit and had the back box hangers on all wrong!
Car's spot on now, was like this  all the way home!
Cheers fella!

Bought m3 suspension and brakes for £1500 in Febuary. Waited 3 weeks for delivery. Then noticed a rear caliper was missing. I e mailed on 30th March and after a few emails he now ignores my email. Thanks Barry, if you find the caliper please stick it up your arse.

Lets get the facts straight here, I expressed in the add that it was collection only but I went out of my way to get them delivered (with the cost inclusive of the 1500 asking price might I ad!!)
The reason why it took a few weeks to sort was because of availability of collection by the courier and myself as complete front and rear axles are not exactly a packet of fags!

Regardless, you were kept informed of what was going on during that stage.

You actually bought them in jan, not feb and then two months later told me one of the rear calipers was missing, I checked the photo and all 4 calipers were pictured and I searched my workshop and could not find it.

I have replied to all your pm's on here, you have not emailed me once. The last pm was that I would look for a replacement at work to send you but I have been off work for the last two weeks which has included a house move.

I am back at work on mon and im sure we have a replacement that I can send to you.

Thanks for the pm to say you were going to leave shitty (unjustified) feedback before the situation was resolved.

The last two pm's I sent you I didn't get a reply. So why would I send another threatening bad feedback ? After not hearing from you I concluded you weren't bothered and I'd be wasting my time.
If I had sold something and it turned out that a part was missing I would of sorted the matter ASAP. You were in no rush to sort the matter and I have given up. Justified bad feedback reflects this.
I have since sold it at a loss as it was missing the caliper.
I didn't realise the caliper was missing hence the delay in notifying you. How would I know you've been off work etc etc , if you'd sent me a pm explaining then this could have gone differently. I notice you had plenty of time to mess about with your m3 and update your thread frequently but no time to sort the awol caliper.

I haven't heard from you for weeks so I assumed you had either sorted it or were not bothered any more.

I have not ignored any of your PM's so don't lie.

Haven't touched the M3 for weeks and besides, that's at my workshop not my place of work.

Most sensible people check the item they paid for when it arrives, not two months later!!!

Thats not my problem you sold it at a loss! That was your choice! You never told me you intended and price you paid me for it was fair and below market value especially as it included shipping on somethint so big and heavy!

This can end in one of three ways. 1, I supply a second hand Caliper when I retun to work next week, 2 I refund you the cost of second caliper or 3, you carry on without anything and leave the bad feedback as it is.

I don't give a damn which one you choose as in over 8 years on the zone your the only person to complain and anyone with a brain will realise you have been unreasonable.

Balls in your court.
