E30 M3 Bonnet Insulation

Hi guys what should i be looking at for paying for a E30 m3 bonnet Insulation

The same as for any other E30 bonnet. It's the one panel that's common to all models.

Ah, insulation, not installation. I did think the term was a bit odd!

And the non turdo 2.4 derv, the diesel and 325e panel is different to the M3

Does it actually do much?
Have been considering ripping all of mine off as its the foam type and has deteriorated.

I also do not understand the point in this, as it would just retain heat....?

I had to pull about half of mine off as it was in danger of hanging down onto the exhaust which did not seem a good plan. The result seems to be nothing more than a warm bonnet.
The replacement bonnet I have has no insulation on it at all.
E46 and onwards does without this it would seem? correct me if I am wrong.

I think the M insullation is N/A from bmw
I remember someone asking about it a while ago and bmw stating they were not producing anymore
If you cafind one in good nick, then it may cost a fair bit

according to realoem, the one-piece insulation in the photo of Kedge has two versions...

Don't understand why people think it is desirable. Looks gash IMO, standard foam in good condition looks a lot better

It looks great in good condition but i never understood why my 325e has one and a 325i doesn't?
