Hello.
Just wondering if somebody could explain this. When the car is cold the gearbox Shifts fine, maybe tad bit harsh at times, but when it warms up it's really bad, you have to shift extremely slow for it to be smooth, otherwise any normal shifting will crunch.
Somebody has told me the gearbox could be overheating but I'm unsure how true this is. I have changed oil to Redline MTL and still the same Issue.
I'm just wondering are the hotter temperatures just revealing the worn out parts in my gearbox more, No idea if it's a syncro or damaged gearset that is causing my crunching. It is weird as it can even crunch at low rpm, but when revving at a higher rpm it likes to shift easier, each gear is different.
Should I try run ATF?
It's a Getrag 260 from a 1990 325i.
