where to get new parts

hi,
I'm trying to source some new driveshafts, looking for 325 shafts that fit medium case diff.
ive gone down the second hand route once and they were no good so decided to just go for new ones. but I cant seem to find any!
anybody know of anywhere that have some?

New driveshafts will be dealer only I expect and as you've seen in your other thread, they will be somewhere around the £1k mark.
How was secondhand no good? There should be plenty of decent used ones available. Drive shafts are all the same iirc, the only difference being ABS and non-ABS.

Unusual to find a duff used driveshaft. Ideally you should fit an ex. LH side one to the RH side, and vice versa.

I think GSF are doing them still at about £300 per shaft.

Is there any particular reason for this? I have learnt recently the suggestion that the CV joints on the outer end of the shafts cannot be changed is bollocks.
The cases can be spilt and then the joints changed and re-staked afterwards. Might be worth looking for some low mileage shafts with compatable CVs and having a bash at putting the low mileage joints on the E30 length shafts.
Auto 316 compact or 1.9z3 CVs might be a good shout for unstressed low mileage joints.

The joints on the E30 don't have to move through much of an angle so don't wear too badly unless lacking lubrication/contaminated or over loaded.
