Anybody know how to stop the ariel coming up? It is permanently up when the car is on even when listening to iPod, only goes down when car is off, it's kinda annoying and I just want it down all the time

Is the radio always on? There was a similar thread a couple of weeks ago and Brian suggested a solution.
If I'm listening to CDs (retro!) and turn the Traffic Announcement function off on the radio the aerial stays down, but this obviously depends on what radio you have.

There should be a twin parallel wire behind the glovebox, consisting of a plain white wire and a plain red wire. If 12 volts is applied to the white wire, the aerial goes up. If 12 volts is removed from the white wire, the aerial goes down.
Power can be applied to the white wire by a switch, automatically by the radio, or by any other means you might choose.
