Just got some new wheels! They are genuine bbs 16" they are 5x100 so will need asdaptord or re drilling they are 8" and 7.5"
What do you recommend adaptors or redrilling?

I recommend selling them and getting proper 4x100's.

Redrilling is not only a massive bodge, but a great way to ruin the value of some genuine BBS. Adapters aren't that strong, and will push the wheel out 20mm which may cause issues depending on the offset of the wheels. I wouldn't trust either option if you were doing any "spirited" driving.

ive searched for months for some in 16" and havent found any at a decent price. These ones were at a very good price and as spirited driving goes i put my foot down when i can safely haha its only a 316 so not going too quickly

So what's the ET of these wheels? That'll determine whether adapters are even an option.

What BBS do you have and what are the offsets? If they are RS's then you can swap dishes/ barrels.

Whilst not ideal adapters are a perfectly acceptable way of running wheels and 4x100 to 5x100 is easy as the holes do not overlap.

RH in germany actually design their wheels with really high offsets and then adapters/ spacers are used to get the wheel sitting perfectly. RH meet or exceed TUV standards so as long as you use a decent set of adapters and make sure they are fitted correctly you shouldn't have issues.

A redrill is also an option if they are flat backed, as for value, as long as it's done correctly 4x100 16" BBS are very desirable wheels. Again the holes will not overlap with the existing 5x100 PCD

They are flat backed yes, but they are 5x114 and have been redrilled to 5x100 already

8" and 7.5" isnt too low is it? I just don't want them to rub. Car is lowered 60mm front and 40mm rear

If they've already been drilled, it wouldn't be such a heinous crime to redrill them to 4*100, I guess...

If they have already been redrilled, how much material would be left once another four holes are drilled? :?

Exactly!

Redrilled redrills sounds dodgy to me.

You would only use one of the five redrilled holes; the other three would be drilled in between the remaining four.

Yes but then you have less of the original material. Weakened.

Get some offsets up, they should be stamped under the centre waffles along with the original widths.

Are they split rims?

You can go quite a bit wider than what you have there on an E30, so as long as the offsets are sensible e.g et30 - 40 ish you can use adapters. If you don't mind a little poke then you could get away with et20.

To get the wheels sitting the same all round you'll need a slightly thicker adapter in the rear.
